DEMOLITION WORKS - OR Mess at Larrakeyah Defence Precinct

Darwin Asbestos & Demolition (DAD) recently completed a substantial package of demolition works as part of major renovations to the OR Mess at Larrakeyah Defence Precinct. Conducted over a six-month period, the works included:

  • Decanting of all furniture and fixtures.
  • Various asbestos removal works, including transport and disposal of 600T of contaminated soil/concrete.
  • Internal cutting and removal of 350m2 of concrete foundations.
  • Demolition and disposal of internal walls, ceilings, flooring coverings, windows and frames

The works were carried out under contract with NACP (National Aboriginal Construction Partners)and is the largest single project (circa $1M) for DAD to date.
