Darwin Asbestos and Demolition (DAD) was established in 2017 by Pete Younger who had already spent many years managing asbestos removal projects for a major international company. Having established a great reputation in the industry, it took no time at all for Pete to go from a start up business to the leading asbestos removal company in the NT.

In 2019, Chris Gittens a longtime friend and collaborator of Pete’s joined the business providing more depth and capability to the team. With a trade and engineering background, more technical expertise was on hand to increase capability and tackle more complex demolition tasks.

Whilst not a plan at the time, this eventually lead to Chris acquiring the business and enabling Pete to commence a well earned retirement in 2021.

Under new ownership, the business has continued to grow and so to the services offered andreach, with projects now undertaken right across the NT and into WA. A more diverse range of services are also offered to clients, including HAZMAT cleanups, mould remediation, lead paint removal, and most recently concrete cutting services.
